The town councils of San José and Ibiza in collaboration with the Consell de Ibiza and the Office of the Woman organize the XNUMXth edition of the Cursa per la Dona or Carrera de la Mujer en Ibiza.
This great sporting event whose main objective is to promote sport among women, is held on 8 March 2026 Sunday and this year it premieres new travel.
The same day is also celebrated X Walk for Women, a non-competitive test.
Both tests start at 11: 30 hours, they have a 5km course and will serve to raise funds for the Metastatic Breast Cancer Association.

The race starts this year from Plaza de Sant Jordi and after an accessible and urban route it ends in the Reina Sofia Park of Ibiza, next to the UNESCO World Heritage walls, where a graduation party.
There are two modalities of participation: individual, with only female participants, or by parejas, of category female or mixed (Man-woman). In this category, both members of the couple must reach the finish line together. The walk is open to women and men accompanied by a woman.
You can participate as a couple or individually, however, the participation of men in the individual category or two men in the pairs category is not allowed. The race can be running or walking.
This year the event is part of the national circuit.

Traffic restrictions
Se prohibits circulation of vehicles among the 11:30 and 12:30h, In Alzines street, In Blas Infante Street; in the Federico García Lorca Street (section between Pablo Picasso and Blas Infante streets); in the Pere Matutes Noguera Avenue (towards Ibiza town centre, in the section between Alzines street and Quartó de Balansat); and in the Carles Roman Ferrer street.
In addition, there will be specific restrictions to traffic, in the Ramón Muntaner and Joan Xicó streets de 11 to 30 pmas well as in the Sant Jordi Avenue (at the intersection with Alzines Street), between the 11: 30 and the 12: 30 hours.
