La Can Curt Exhibition HallIn San Agustín, it hosts one of those proposals that invites us to look beyond the obvious.LAND”, by the Menorcan artist Enric ServeraIt proposes a profoundly sensory journey where the Mar It ceases to be a landscape and becomes living matter, a mirror, and a question.
The project stems from an idea that is as simple as it is powerful: To moor is to become impregnated. To immerse oneself. To let the environment permeate us.From there, the exhibition brings together works that explore the contemporary relationship with the sea, understood not only as origin of life, but also as a tensioned space due to the human footprint. Microplastics, overexploitation, warming waters, and emissions appear here subtly, integrated into a visual language that moves between abstraction and figuration.
The result is a proposal that doesn't seek to represent the sea, but rather to activate it within the observer. More than contemplation, it invites perception. More than mere looking, it invites awareness of that shared fabric that sustains us and that, at the same time, we are altering.
Enric Servera, a native of Ciutadella de Menorca, has developed a career marked by constant exploration and the multifaceted nature of his work. His art, deeply connected to nature, especially the marine environment, has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and has received various awards within the contemporary art world. After its run in Barcelona at the Centre Cívic Pere Pruna, the exhibition now continues its tour in Ibiza before traveling to Menorca.
